We went to Cuba in 2013, well before the change in political policy that opened the border to the negatives of American tourism. Cuba is a country of contradictions. On the surface, there are no kinder people in world. Underneath, individuals are eager for modernization. For Canadians, Cuba is a compulsory vacation destination.
